Man overdoses, crashes near Dartmouth daycare

DARTMOUTH, M.A. (WLNE) — A New Bedford man is facing multiple charges after he overdosed behind the wheel and crashed close to a local daycare.
Glenroy Hensley, 46, was found unresponsive in his vehicle, resting against a tree on Russells Road, near Crayon Campus around 2:15 p.m., Monday afternoon.
Narcan was administered by medical personnel, Dartmouth Police said. Officers also located a pill believed to be Klonopin, as well as a Suboxone strip when a search was performed on Hensley’s person.
Responders were quickly made aware that Hensley had an active warrant for drug related offenses out of Fall River District Court.
Hensley was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, and subsequently transported to Dartmouth Police Headquarters to be booked.
In addition to the warrant, authorities say Hensley was charged with the following offenses:
- Operating under the influence (OUI) – Drugs.
- Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
- Operating with a Suspended License.
- Marked Lanes Violation.
- Possession of a Class B Drug.
- Possession of a Class C Drug.
