Man pleads guilty to murdering girlfriend and her daughter

A man charged with killing his ex-girlfriend and her adult daughter then kidnapping her 2-year-old son has pleaded guilty to charges and has been sentenced to multiple life terms behind bars.
Daniel Rodriguez pleaded guilty to first-degree in the shooting deaths of 40-year-old Evelyn Burgos, his ex-girlfriend, and 25-year-old Vanessa Perez at their Johnston home. He then kidnapped the 2-year-old child, sparking a nationwide amber alert.
The toddler was later found safe wandering through a Providence neighborhood.
Rodriguez was sentenced to two consecutive life terms, plus 50 years behind bars for the murder, weapon and kidnapping charges.
