Man responsible for fatal New Year’s crash in Lincoln that killed fiancé turns himself in

LINCOLN, R.I. (WLNE)- The man who allegedly was responsible for the fatal crash in Lincoln on New Year’s Day turned himself in to police on Monday afternoon.

Lincoln Police Chief Brian Sullivan confirmed to ABC6 that 42-year-old Gregory Miller turned himself in at about 4 p.m.

Miller was the fiancé of 34-year-old Nanleomariz Albizu, of Providence, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash on Saturday morning, according to the victim’s family.

Albizu died later that day at Rhode Island Hospital.

Investigators said that the Nissan Altima that the two were in, was driving eastbound on Cobble Hill Road, drove off of the road, went airborne, and hit two telephone poles.
