Man sentenced to 8 years after fatal DUI crash

Zachary Thole, 21, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the 2013 car crash that killed his passenger.

Thole pled no contest today in Washington Country Superior Court to his second DUI.

20-year-old Nicholas Gershkoff of North Kingstown was killed when Thole, who was driving under the influence, crashed his vehicle last November on Hillsdale Road.

Thole will also lose his license for five years after he gets out of the ACI.
