Man shot at South Shore Plaza has died, police still searching for suspect

BRAINTREE, MASS. (WLNE)- A man that was shot at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree over the weekend has died, according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.

Dijoun Beasley, 26, of Dorchester was shopping inside the mall on the main floor when he was shot with a handgun.

Beasley was transported to a Boston Area Hospital, and in critical condition.

Braintree Police are still searching for the suspect that fled the scene.

The district attorney’s office said the investigation is “very much active and ongoing,” and ask anyone with information to call Braintree police at (781) 794-8620 or Massachusetts State Police at (781) 830-4990.
