Man shot in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — New Bedford police said a man was shot Monday afternoon.

The shooting happened at about noon in the area of Division Street and Acushnet Avenue.

Shortly after police responded to the scene, Lt. Scott Carola said the man appeared at St. Luke’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No further information was immediately released.
