Man shot while riding in Uber in downtown Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man was shot while riding in an Uber in downtown Providence on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

The shooting happened at about 12:30 p.m. on Sabin Street by the Residence Inn and the Amica Mutual Pavilion.

Police said the 38-year-old man suffered non life-threatening injuries. His name was not released.

No arrests were made.
