Man stabbed outside of Providence night club

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Providence Police are investigating a stabbing that happened early this morning outside of Flow Night Club.

An officer responded to Rhode Island Hospital for a report of a stabbing victim.  Upon arrival, police met with Abimael Gonzalez, 27, who stated he was stabbed while leaving the night club around 2 a.m.

According to Gonzalez, he and his friends were returning to their vehicles on Cranston Street, when he noticed an unidentified man who seemed to be “looking for a fight”. The man approached Gonzalez in the parking lot and stabbed him three times in the chest.

Gonzalez stated to police that he was unable to see the object used to stab him.

The suspect was described to police as a light-skinned Hispanic male with long hair, approximately 25 to 30 years old, and was wearing a black sweater, green shirt, and light blue jeans.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect.
