Man stabbed twice at bus stop

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A man waiting at a bus stop in Providence was stabbed twice.

Police say the incident took place on Broad Street, right near the Salvation Army just before 8 p.m. Monday evening.

The victim suffered injuries to his stomach and was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to survive.

Officers arrested the suspect near the scene.

No motive was given for the stabbing.
