Man struck by vehicle in East Providence, facing serious injuries
EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE)- A 71-year-old man was struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening near the intersection of Pawtucket Avenue and Silver Spring Avenue in Riverside, East Providence police said.
The incident occurred sometime before 5:30 p.m.
The man was transported to the hospital with injuries described as “serious” by Chief William Nebus.
The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the investigation, Nebus said.
An update on the man’s condition is expected sometime in the near future.
