Mass. comptroller releases annual financial report for 2022

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Office of the Comptroller said Friday that Comptroller William McNamara had filed the Fiscal Year 2022 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

The report is meant to demonstrate a complete picture of the state’s financials.

Among the report’s highlights were the decline of the state’s net deficit and primary government spending as well as the reveal that the state’s current assets increased by over $7 billion.

“The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report provides an accurate and complete picture of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts – and reflects the sound condition of state finance.” McNamara said.
