Mass. Gas Prices Down a Penny

BOSTON (AP) – Gasoline prices in Massachusetts have dropped one cent, falling below $2.60 a gallon for the first time this year.

AAA Southern New England reports Monday that a gallon of self-serve regular in its weekly survey was an average of $2.59.

That's 10 cents below the national average. At this time last year, the price was $2.51.

The AAA survey found gas prices in the state ranging from $2.45 to as high as $2.97 per gallon.
