Massachusetts man exchanged firearms for fentanyl in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I.. (WLNE) – A Franklin, Mass. man admitted to a federal judge on Tuesday that on at least four occasions, he traded firearms for fentanyl in Rhode Island.

37-year-old Timothy J. Valle admitted that the incidents happened between December 2018 and November 2020.

Valle pleaded guilty to possessing or receiving a firearm which has had the serial number removed.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on August 20.
