Massachusetts police sergeant arrested, placed on leave
HULL, Mass. (WLNE) — Chief John Dunn of the Hull Police Department said one of their sergeants was placed on administrative leave following his arrest in Pembroke.
Chief Dunn said Sgt. Scott Saunders was arrested by Pembroke police after an incident that occurred on July 24. When the department learned of his arrest, they said he was immediately placed on administrative leave and an internal investigation was launched.
Saunders’ license to carry was suspended and his badge and service weapon were taken and secured, the chief said.
Saunders was hired by the Hull Police Department in 2004 and was promoted to sergeant in 2019.
The investigation remains ongoing.
