Massachusetts residents prepare for Phase 2 vaccinations

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) – The wait is almost over for residents 75 years old and older in Massachusetts; in a week they’ll be able to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Send it to me in a bottle. I’ll drink it; yeah, absolutely. I’ve been waiting a long time to hear this,” Harvey Trieff, an 81-year-old resident of Fall River, said.

Massachusetts residents in the 75+ age bracket will be able to join frontline workers, first responders, and people in nursing homes at mass vaccination sites at Gillette Stadium and Fenway Park.

Gov. Baker announced that three more mass vaccination sites in Springfield, Danvers, and Boston would be opening in the next several weeks.
