Massachusetts State Police lead ‘Intro to Swim’ program in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police troopers were at the YMCA in New Bedford on Thursday to teach kids about water safety.

Members of MSP’s Underwater Recovery Unit, D-Troop Community Action Team, Employee Assistance Unit with K-9 Margaux, Drone Unit, Recruitment and Diversity units and several cadets.

Troopers helped teach the kids in attendance about water safety as well as talking about the jobs of different units.

State police thanked the YMCA’s executive director Tara and their staff for making the event possible.
