Massachusetts State Police take ‘Polar Plunge’ for Special Olympics

WORCESTER, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police gathered at Polar Park in Worcester to take the “Polar Plunge” Saturday afternoon.
State police cadets, troopers and liaison officers alike braved a dive into frigid water to raise money for the Special Olympics Massachusetts organization.
The group posted to Facebook and shared photos of officers taking the plunge for a good cause.
The department said even K-9 Luna was eager to get in the water and took the plunge with help from her handler Trooper Chad Tata.
State police shared their gratitude for Trooper Gray who worked to organize the event.
