MassDOT to close section of I-495 Sunday night for paving
FRANKLIN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced that it will be closing a section of Interstate 495 northbound as part of ongoing resurfacing operations Sunday and Monday night.
The work is set to occur from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning both days, with all work expected to be completed by Tuesday morning.
The ramp for exit 36B, from I-495 northbound to Interstate 95 southbound, will be temporarily closed, the department said.
The following detour will be in place: drivers should stay on I-495 northbound, take exit 36B, take a right onto the I-495 southbound on-ramp, then take exit 33B.
Drivers who are traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution, the department said.
