MassDOT Touch-a-Truck events rescheduled to June

TAUNTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is announcing the “Touch-A-Truck” events at highway district depots around the state are being rescheduled to June 3 due to inclement weather.

The events were originally scheduled for this Saturday, but rain in the forecast has caused the delay, the department said.

The event will be held at highway depots across the state, including in Taunton and Worcester.

Attendees will be able to see and interact with dump trucks, plows, loaders, and more.

“This is a family-friendly event that connects the community with MassDOT workers that keep the Commonwealth’s roadways safe and operational year-round,” Communication Director Kristen Pennucci said.

The June event will have a rain date of Sunday, June 4.
