Mattapoisett Police Chief charged with OUI

MATTAPOISETT, Mass. (WLNE) – The Mattapoisett Police Chief is in trouble with the law after she was charged this weekend with OUI.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, Chief Mary Lyons was pulled over Saturday night after a trooper observed erratic driving on Route 28 in Bourne

When stopped the trooper administered a field sobriety test and determined Lyons was intoxicated.

Lyons was booked at the State Police’s Bourne Barracks on a charge of operating under the influence of liquor and was cited for a marked lanes violation.

She will face arraignment in Falmouth District Court at a later date.
