McKee hosting weekly coronavirus briefing as the state is set to loosen additional restrictions

PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – Governor McKee and the Rhode Island Department of Health are set to host the weekly COVID-19 briefing at 1:00 PM.

The briefing between state leaders comes one day before Rhode Island loosens additional restrictions that were announced last week by Commerce Secretary, Stefan Pryor.

Starting on March 19th, indoor dining establishments and houses of worship can increase capacity to 75%.

Restaurants would be able to reduce table distance from 8 feet to 6 feet, and funeral settings will increase to 50%.

Social gatherings will increase to 15 people indoors, and 50 people outdoors.
