McKee nominates 6 to fill judge vacancies
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gov. Dan McKee has name his picks to fill six judgeships in the Rhode Island judiciary system.
McKee has nominated Christopher Smith and Joseph McBurney to fill vacancies in the Superior Court; James O’Neill, Debra Saunders and Nicholas Parrillo for judgeships in the District Court; and Moira Reynolds on the Workers’ Compensation Court.
“I know that with their combined decades of experience, they will fairly uphold the laws and values of Rhode Island. I thank the Judicial Nominating Committee for sending us a strong selection of qualified candidates,” said McKee.
The nominations must be confirmed by the Rhode Island Senate.
