PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Governor Dan McKee and the Department of Health announced additional COVID-19 vaccination appointments will become available Thursday morning.

A spokesperson for the Department of Health said 3,200 appointments will be posted on vaccinateri.org Thursday at 9 a.m.

These appointments will be available for the state-run site at Sockanosset Cross Road.

“These appointments are being released tomorrow, instead of on a Tuesday or a Friday, because many are for this Friday,” the spokesperson said.

The appointments for the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine were originally scheduled for release Tuesday morning, but were curbed as the state was planning to cover the appointments that had been made for the Johnston & Johnson vaccine.

Those eligible are people 40 and older who live, work, or go to school in Rhode Island. For more eligibility information, click here.
