McKee rolls out climate change initiatives, Infrastructure Bill

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Governor McKee plans to roll out several climate change initiatives on Wednesday, and will announce the state’s plans to speed up projects with the help of funds secured in the Infrastructure Bill.

McKee noted in his State of the State Address that these funds will be used to speed up the process of over 100 bridge and road projects.

“From Blackstone Valley to the East Bay, South County and beyond, all Rhode Islanders are entitled to clean air, food security, and sustainable communities,” says McKee.

McKee will be joined by RIDE and RIDOT directors for the briefing at 2:30 p.m.
