McKee, state leaders to speak on Child Care Awareness Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gov. Dan McKee and state leaders will speak on issues impacting Rhode Island families at the State House on Tuesday.
Parents of young children will stroll up the State House steps starting at 2 p.m. to advocate for legislation that will improve access to child care in the Ocean State.
Leading legislators will give remarks on how the state is investing in child care to help families thrive.
Rhode Island recognizes Child Care Awareness Day every year on May 2nd in collaboration with Strolling Thunder RI and other partners.
