McKee to announce launch of Afghan Relief RI

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Governor Dan McKee is set to announce a foundation to support Afghan refugees resettled in Rhode Island.
It was in September when the Ocean State learned it would welcome 250 ‘humanitarian parolees’ from Afghanistan by the end of the year.

This is an effort coordinated along with Dorcas International Institution of Rhode Island and the Diocese of Providence, the two local refugee resettlement agencies.
