McKee to swear in 5 Judicial Candidates this Monday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Governor Dan McKee has announced he will hold separate ceremonies to swear in five judicial candidates to fill openings on the Superior Court, Family Court, District Court, and Workman’s Compensation Court.

The applicants, Associate Justice of the RI Family Court Jeanine Perella McConaghy, Associate Justice of the RI Family Court Shilpa Naik, Associate Justice of the RI Superior Court Kevin F. McHugh, Associate Judge of the RI District Court William J. Trezvant, Associate Judge of the RI Workers Compensation Court George J. Lazieh, were appointed to their new positions in November, and approved by the Senate last week.

The meeting will occur Monday, January 10 at 12:00 p.m. at the State House in the Governor’s State Room.
