WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — Gov. Dan McKee visited a health center vaccinating Rhode Island children under 5 on Tuesday.

McKee and interim director of the Rhode Island Department of Health Dr. Utpala Bandy toured the Thundermist Health Center at 10 a.m. in West Warwick.

This comes after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized those shots for infants and preschoolers last month.

The governor talked to staff at the center about COVID-19 vaccinations and other health challenges.
