Meals with a Mission arrive at Emmanuel House
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)– They’ve delivered nearly 20,000 meals to frontline workers and vulnerable populations hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic.
On Thursday afternoon, Meals with a Mission, a partnership between Ocean State Job Lot and Providence restaurant Mill’s Tavern, were on hand at Emmanuel House, a Providence men’s homeless shelter.
For executive chef Edward Bolus, its a welcome chance to give back and keep his employees busy. Bolus and his team prepared 200 meals for the residents of the shelter.
“This is something we’re doing to keep everyone going,” Bolus said, “you know both the community, and our employees.”
