Michelsen, Isner Claim Semifinal Spots at Tennis Hall of Fame Friday

Young Alex Michelsen’s run in Newport continues.
The 18-year-old with another victory at the Infosys Tennis Hall of Fame Open Friday, defeating fourth-seeded Mackenzie McDonald in straight sets in the quarterfinals, 6-3, 6-3.
Michelsen will next play four-time champion John Isner.
Isner ousting the top seed Tommy Paul Friday in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 to advance to Saturday’s semifinals.
