Middletown police investigating after dead body found

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — The Middletown Police Department confirmed they’re investigating after a dead body was found.

ABC6 News crews were on-scene where investigators continued their search around the property on West Main Road.

Crime scene tape could be seen around the residence and the property surrounding it. Investigators were searching the vicinity of the home.

Police have not released any information regarding the victim’s identity or whether foul-play is suspected to be involved in their death.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
