Missing elderly man from Wrentham found dead in submerged car

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Wrentham Police Department said Wednesday that an elderly man who was reported missing was found dead.

According to police, their investigation revealed that Steve Perry, 73, was driving in the Hamilton, Mass. area when he entered a dark roadway that led to a pond and boat landing.

Apparently disoriented, authorities believe that Perry accidentally drove into the water, submerged his vehicle and later died.

The incident remains under investigation and police extended their sympathies to family and friends of Perry.
