More sun later today, rain & wind to end the work week

Chilly temperatures by Friday

Some clouds and a few sprinkles early this morning but all that will clear quickly. We’ll end up with partly sunny conditions this afternoon. It will be seasonable today with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s for most, slightly cooler into far eastern MA thanks to a sea breeze. Tonight will be partly clear to start but more clouds roll in by Thursday morning, expect lows in the low 40s.

Thursday will be overcast but mainly dry for the daytime hours. Expect the breeze to pick up a bit as the day goes on and we’ll stay cooler with highs only in the low 50s. It’ll be in the evening hours that rain begins to move into the area. Steady to heavy rain can be expected overnight and into most of the day Friday. It will stay breezy through the night. Temperatures will also be chilly with overnight lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. Some mixing & snow possible for areas to our north & west, we stick with a cold rain. Highs on Friday will only be in the upper 40s and it will be breezy on top of the rain, gusts 35-40 MPH expected. On average, about one inch of rain can be expected for most of the area.

Some lingering showers into early Saturday morning before we begin to dry out and eventually clear out. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid 50s. It will also be staying breezy through the day. Sunday looks like the better of the weekend days, with partly sunny conditions and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

We head into the start of next week with seasonable temperatures and dry weather through the early part of the work week.
