SAUNDERSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Democratic candidate for the Rhode Island District 2 Congress seat Sarah Morgenthau has released the first TV ad in the race.

Morgenthau published the ad to her YouTube Channel and condemns the recent Supreme Court leak regarding Roe vs. Wade.

She also touts her past work with President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama.

Morgenthau’s spot is the first ad to head to television in the crowded field to replace retiring Congressman Jim Langevin.

Other Democrats joining the field include State Treasurer and top fundraiser in the race Seth Magaziner, former state representative David Segal, former Langevin staffer Joy Fox and Refugee Dream Founder Omar Bah, who is officially kicking off his campaign Thursday night.

Former Cranston Mayor Allan Fung and 2020 challenger to Langevin, Bob Lancia, are seeking the Republican nomination.
