Mother, Kids Struck By Drunk Driver in Fall River, Suspect IDd

UPDATE: Fall River Police are identifying the suspect in Thursday night's alleged drunk driving incident as Afonso Oliveira, 59. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning.

A mother and her children are lucky to be alive today after being struck by a drunk driver Thursday evening in Fall River.

Witnesses tell ABC6 that the mother was dragged nearly 200 yards after being hit, but she and the children – who police have not identified – are all expected to recover.
