MSPCA, NEAS welcome 49 animals from Tulsa, Oklahoma

SALEM, Mass. (WLNE)- Forty-nine animals now call Massachusetts their home as those rescued from Tulsa, Oklahoma have arrived to the Bay State.

Northeast Animal Shelter took in the forty-one cats and eight dogs after they were surrendered to the Humane Society of Tulsa on January 12.

The cats range from three month to 10-years-old, and are described as shy, but shelter officials believe they will do well once adopted.

Five of the dogs, from nine weeks to 14-years-old, are in good condition as well.

Bailey, Sugar, and Rosie are on the path to recovery from being underweight, suffering hair loss, dental issues, after long periods of time confined to a crate, and hope for an owner willing to give some extra care to help regain their strength.

Those who wish to help these animals on their path can donate at www.mspca.org/tulsa.

Those who are interested in adopting can visit mspca.org/adopt and neas.org/adopt.
