Much needed rain on the way, but until then enjoy the sunshine
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) —
A slight warming trend headed into today and tomorrow. Today we start off a bit chilly with temps warming into the 60’s today. It’s a bit of a challenging forecast based on several factors. The coast will have a sharp sea breeze interaction which will keep coastal towns in the 50’s. Inland temperatures will increase as you head west. If you’re looking for warmer weather just head out to west Mass or CT. Today the winds are light out of the west northwest, but will shift tomorrow from the south.
Big temperature swing tomorrow with costal towns in the upper 50’s and inland temps in the 70’s.
Earth day is Saturday so get out and enjoy the day. Temps will reach 60 and we will have mostly cloudy to cloudy skies for the day, but nice enough to participate in a beach clean up, check out a farmers market or other Earth Day celebrations.
Sunday will be wet; the much needed rain moves in and lingers for the day finally pushing off to the east Sunday night into early Monday morning.
