Multi-alarm fire erupts from Plainville home

PLAINVILLE, Mass. (WLNE) — The Plainville Fire Department said they are battling a multi-alarm fire on Treasure Island Road.

Officials said on Thursday at 5:05 p.m., multiple 911 calls reported a structure fire to the department.

When first responders arrived on-scene, they said they found a fully-involved two-story home.

Multiple alarms were struck to bring in as much nearby manpower as possible.

Efforts to battle the flames remain ongoing but no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters from Wrentham, Foxborough, Mansfield, Franklin, Norfolk, Bellingham, North Attleboro and Cumberland responded to provide mutual aid along with a rehab truck from Mansfield.

Authorities said more information will be released once the fire is fully extinguished.
