Murder Charge in Fall River after Body Found Behind Bakery

Providence (WLNE)- Police have charged a Fall River man with homicide after a body was discovered behind the Gold Medal Bakery on Christmas Eve.

The body of Fall River resident Gary Werra, 39, was discovered in a wooded area behind the bakery on Bay St. Tuesday evening, according to a statement from Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III.

An investigation led police to Jose Amador, 23, of Fall River, who was arrested at his home later Tuesday night and formally charged with murder.

Amador is scheduled to appear in Fall River District Court Thursday.
