Murder Suspect Pytka Found Dead in His Cell

ACI officials have confirmed that Peter Pytka, charged in the murder of Tracey Pytka earlier this month, was found dead in his cell Thursday morning.

Pytka's cellmate alerted ACI staff that Pytka, 40, appeared to be dead, just before 8am Thursday. Pytka had been at the ACI since December 21st, after being charged in the murder of Tracey Pytka in their Cumberland home.

ACI officials say Pytka was double-celled, and was on the top bunk in general population at the Intake Center.

State Police have taken over the investigation into Pytka's suicide. He was being held without bail on the murder charge.
