National Credit Rating Dropped

It is the first ever downgrade of the nation's AAA credit rating. 

S&P's decision comes not even a week after the debt ceiling deal.  A plan the credit agency says falls short of what the country needs to get back on track.  

There are a lot of unanswered questions circling tonight about this downgrade. 

On a national level, it's what can we expect on Monday with the opening of the stock market?  On a local level, it's how much will cities and towns feel the impact of S&P's decision. 

We spoke with one local expert who weighed in on both of these topics as the nation starts to chart the course ahead.  ABC6's Abbey Niezgoda has the story.
