National Weather Service to survey storm damage in southeast Massachusetts
EASTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The National Weather Service’s Boston Branch said that the organization will be surveying damage in the region after Saturday night’s severe weather.
In a social media post the service said that it would be focusing its efforts in eastern Connecticut from Chaplin to Killingly, and in southeastern Massachusetts from Easton to West Bridgewater.
It added that the organization will coordinate with state and local emergency management services and will release updates.
We are planning to survey storm damage in eastern CT (Chaplin to Killingly) and in southeast MA (Easton to West Bridgewater) later this morning. We need to coordinate with state and local emergency management before doing so, and will provide more info as it becomes available.
