NBA Suspends Season Due To Coronavirus

PROVIDENCE,R.I. (WLNE)- The National Basketball Association has suspended its season indefinitely after all-star Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus.

The NBA, which did not name the player, released a statement on its website confirming that a player on the Utah Jazz had tested positive for COVID-19 shortly before a game Wednesday night.

All games will be suspended following tonight’s schedule, and the NBA “will use this hiatus to determine next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic,” the statement read.
