Nearly 200 evacuated following refrigerant leak at industrial plant in Plainville

PLAINVILLE, Mass. (WLNE)- Rescue officials from the Plainville, Wrentham and North Attleboro fire departments responded to the scene of a refrigerant leak in Plainville on Wednesday.

Around 200 people needed to be evacuated from the industrial plant, according to the Plainville Fire Department.

The leak happened at around 1:20 p.m.

No injuries have been reported, but the public is being asked to avoid the area to allow emergency vehicles to move freely.
