New Bedford beaches closed for swimming after heavy rainfall
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The City of New Bedford announced Tuesday that all of its beaches will be closed for swimming until further notice.
According to officials, the swim spots were closed after heavy rainfall flooded parts of the city and overflow from sewers may have reached the waters.
All beaches will reopen pending the results of water sampling that will take place Wednesday.
