New Bedford Detectives arrest two for drug trafficking

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE)- Detectives for the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau arrested two men for trafficking fentanyl.

On November 30, detectives observed a drug transaction between two mean near a bus terminal. They stopped the males as they were departing.

Kenneth Cosgrave, 40, was found to be in possession of over 21 grams of fentanyl and $2,363 in cash. Devin Jenkins, 32, was stopped and found to be in possession of $3,991 in cash.

Cosgrave was charged with trafficking in excess of 18 grams of fentanyl subsequent to a previous conviction and conspiracy. He was previously convicted of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl in August 2020.

Jenkins was charged with distribution of fentanyl subsequent to a previous conviction, trafficking in excess of 18 grams of fentanyl and conspiracy. He has previous convictions in Fall River district court for narcotics and firearm related offenses.
