NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Students at Charles S. Ashley Elementary School in New Bedford will return to the classroom Wednesday after it closed because of a heating problem.

“Eversource identified the issue was with an external transformer that serves the school, not the school’s heating system,” wrote the New Bedford Public Schools on its Facebook page.

The district canceled classes at that elementary school Tuesday morning.
