New Bedford home damaged in fire

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – Crews responded to a fire at a multi-family home in New Bedford Thursday morning.

Multiple units from the New Bedford Fire Department responded to 11 Spruce Street around 10:30 Thursday for reports of a fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials say it started on either the second or third floor.

The fire was knocked down within half an hour, according to fire officials.

Only one injury was reported by a pedestrian passing by who suffered a cut from broken glass.

The building was heavily damaged by the fire,
