New Bedford man dies in weekend motorcycle accident

Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that killed a New Bedford man Saturday afternoon

The victim, 42-year-old Jason Roberts was riding on Phillips Road around 2 pm.

Police say it appears Roberts was traveling south when he veered into the opposite lane and struck a utility pole.

The accident remains under investigation.
