New Bedford police arrest man for fentanyl trafficking

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE)- The New Bedford Police Department has announced the arrest of 30-year-old Eric Silvia for fentanyl trafficking.

According to police, a search warrant of a Worcester Street residence resulted in the seizure of over 130 grams of fentanyl and 157 grams of marijuana.

Digital scales and $713 were also recovered from the residence.

Silvia was charged with trafficking fentanyl in excess of 130 grams subsequent with a previous conviction, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
